|High School Student Training in Aging Research (HS STAR)
||This program is designed to provide exceptional ethnic minority high school students from San Diego with a chance to learn and practice the daily activities involved in aging research alongside a UCSD faculty mentor.
||$300/week for 4-6 weeks
|The CRCHD Research Methodology Training Laboratory
||During the summer, students participate in a structured program (6 weeks for high school and 8 weeks for undergraduate and community college students) where they develop an original research project, write a report and prepare a presentation to take to conferences. In addition to their projects all students are exposed to lectures on health disparities research.

||The UCSD Research Scholars program allow for up to 15 total students to each work individually with a UCSD Faculty researcher in an actual Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or Nanotechnology lab on campus
||Students PAY tuition for Academic Connections is $3,450 for the residential program and $2,550 for non-residential.
