The CTRI and Nature Medicine, a premier biomedical research journal, annually host the Frontiers of Clinical Investigation "Bench 2 Bedside" Symposium. This multidisciplinary meeting presents important advances and current challenges in clinical investigation to an audience of clinical researchers, basic scientists, clinicians, and the public. The unusual mix of attendees is a unique feature of the Symposium, and allows cross talk between groups who traditionally did not interact in professional meetings. The Symposium also permits trainees to interact closely with internationally recognized experts in translational research. Each session includes presentations from the basic, translational, and clinical perspectives.
Fall 2013 Symposium
The title of the 2013 Symposium is "Personalized and Targeted Medicine in Cancer 2013". The Director, David Cheresh, PhD, is Distinguished Professor and Vice Chair for Research and Development, UC San Diego Department of Pathology, Solid Tumor Therapeutics Program. Dr. Cheresh is also Associate Director for Translational Research, Moores UCSD Cancer Center. More information, including dates, venue, speakers, and titles of sessions, will be posted here as it becomes available.
Objectives for Symposium Series
