CTRI KL2 Grant Support
As part of the CTRI Education, Training, and Career Development Unit, the KL2 grant mechanism is an institutional equivalent of a K23 or K08 award for junior faculty with early didactic opportunities through the CREST program and a mentored research experience. Successful applicants will receive up to three years of support from the CTRI and from their home departments, pending good progress.
Career Development Seminar Series
This series demystifies scientific communication. The sessions are increasingly interactive and participants are required to bring in their own writing and reviewers’ comments to discuss and learn from each other. The series also includes some sessions on “career husbandry:” how to help trainees develop crucial skills needed for a successful research career. The series follows the academic year, and there are approximately two seminars each month.
