In September 2011, a meeting of all eight California CTSA Education Directors was held at the University of California, San Diego. The purpose of this meeting was to learn about the collective strengths of the Education Programs and to identify areas where resources could be shared for increased impact statewide. Three major workgroups were established as a result of the meeting:
- Online synchronous and asynchronous learning workgroup – (Chair - D. Grady, UCSF)
- KL2 Metrics workgroup – (Chair -J. Dimsdale, UCSD)
- Mentoring Workgroup (Chair – F. Meyers, UC Davis)
